Savour the Pontiac
It is with great pleasure that the Municipality of Pontiac invites you to our 6th edition of SAVOUR THE PONTIAC which will be held on July 27th and 28th 2013 at the Quyon Lions Hall, ch. Ferry.
As well as promoting our local businesses, artists, artisans, producers and organizations, this year will have a particular flavour as it marks the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain’s passage up the Ottawa River in search of new navigable waterways.
To commemorate this historic event, SAVOUR THE PONTIAC will be transformed into a 17th century marketplace on Sunday July 28, 11 am to 4 pm. You will find period costumes, storytellers, music, native rituals, an exhibit on the Chats Falls Park and much more.
The festivities will be initiated by a community dinner at 6 p.m. on July 27th. It's FREE !! Seating is limited, so reserve early by contacting Inès Pontiroli at 819-455-9667 or email: pontiroli.ines@municipalitepontiac.com

- From July 27: Travelling Exhibition on the theme of Champlain, at Sault-des-Chats. Later in other municipalities of the MRC Pontiac.
- July 27-28: Weekend "Savour the Pontiac" in the village of Quyon, Municipality of Pontiac. Saturday evening: community supper and welcome to Défi Champlain canoers. Sunday: market, business showcase, activities for children.

Pontiac open house, Savour the Pontiac
This year, Action Pontiac takes the helm on the community open house, bringing it from the Luskville Community Centre to the Quyon riverfront and morphing it from ''strictly business'' to something for absolutely everyone..
Date: August 21st 2011
Place: Lions hall and playground, Ferry Rd., Quyon
Time: Sunday 11-4, rain or shine.
Featuring: Live music, fresh locally sourced breakfast, games and activites for kids, samples and info on all local businesses, booths by geologists, naturalists, community groups and and regional organisations...
Plus more! People from both the Municipality of Pontiac and the MRC de Pontiac are getting involved with this by the day ...
Expect to see original art, local alpacas, sweet honey, down home fiddles, comic clowns, heritage canoes, native birds, explanatory maps----- it's all here for you on August 21st, and it'll be big!
